Hotkeys

Hotkeys are keystroke combinations that allow you to quickly perform common actions using your keyboard rather than mouse clicks. This can help save time in many cases, especially for repetitive tasks such as incrementally increasing or decreasing order prices.

Hotkeys are active for the basic Order Ticket and the Depth Ticket.

In this manual we will cover how to:

Custom Hotkeys

To create your own custom Hotkey:

  1. Click the Add button

  2. Set up the desired parameters in the Hotkey Settings window

Example: Let's say that we want to create a hotkey that assigns value of 1,500 to the quantity field and sets the order type to Market for an order ticket. We want this hotkey to just load on the ticket, but not send the order.

  3. Assign a Hotkey combination

For this example, we will assign the combination Control + D1 (the number 1)

Note: Hotkeys must be a combination keystroke of Control, Alt, and/or Shift keys as a prefix plus some other key as a suffix. They cannot be assigned a single key keystroke. If you attempt to assign single key, additional Alt and Control keystrokes are automatically added as a prefix.

  4. Click OK to accept

The new Hotkey will now be listed on the view pane with the programmed parameters.

Utilizing Hotkeys

  1. Enable Hotkeys
  2. Press the Hotkey's combination keystroke while in the Order Ticket or Depth Ticket modules

Example: Utilizing the custom Hotkey we created in the above section "Custom Hotkeys", we would press and hold the Control key and press the number 1 key to populate set the QTY field to 1500 and the Type field to Market.

Editing Hotkeys

  1. Select the Hotkey to be edited
    1. Double-click the Hotkey row in the Hotkey view pane.
